The matter of girls' dressing

Being African, and I want to say that there is a lot of westernisation taking place here with us, the most prominent form being the adoption of western dressing habits. With this I have no problem given that we want freedom of everything. But when one starts having problems like discomfort in adverse weather, harrasment and/or rape; evidently caused in one way or the other by the way we dress, then we have to think again.

The degree of damage this freedom is causing to our indegenous cultures and rich heritage is lamentable, but i also wonder aloud if it is at all avoidable given the fast rate at which most African girls are picking up the strings and the thongs which leave the wrong parts sticking oddly out.

girls clothing
the problem is not with the clothing, it is instead with the thoughts in men's heads when they observe beautiful women. it is men's non-acceptance of women in a role other than that of a sexual object that is the problem.

A woman should wear whatever she wants....but
I do agree that some clothes are too reavealing for a particular culture. But we can not say lets us protect the women from men..
and control their clothing!!! for we a man might become sexually anticed and grap the woman and barbarically rape her !!

How about the other way around? has anyone thought of that?!!
